Pera Pedhi has long been a popular resting- place ever since it was a
staging post for those travelling up to the mountains. It has always been a pretty spot with wooded mountain slopes on all sides and the abundant fruit trees in the valley,and the watermill that has been recently restored.
In the section in the library of books on Cyprus you will find a small dark green book with a tempting cover! The cover shows the author standing on a cliff top in the sunshine, high above the rolling waves and bears the simple title of the pocket book – ‘Cyprus Walks’.

My daughter, Lesley, had moved to Cyprus to
live, so when she rang and asked me to visit her for a holiday, I
decided to take her up on her offer. I had been under a lot of
pressure over the previous months, due to my sister passing away,
and my moving home twice, I knew that I was in need of a rest, and
having been to Cyprus before, I knew it to be a wonderful and
